In coaching, there’s your present situation and a realistic and attainable aim. You decide what your goal is. On that basis we start working, it is our ‘contract’ (which is anytime adjustable while you are on our way). Coaching suits if you are functioning well on a daily basis, but you don’t do so in any given field, or you don’t reach your aims there.
Coaching is not applicable when you’re not in charge of your own life. Or you want to learn to cope with past experiences. If your problems have a psychiatric nature, like depression or psychopathology, coaching is not what you need. The right way there is to consult a therapist or psychologist. Also addictions are outside the playing field of coaching.
